For the sake of this article, let\u2019s have a much-needed conversation about David McCallum and Ducky in particular.<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of the past several years, we\u2019ve seen Ducky already have a reduced presence on the show; season 18 took that to another level. A part of this was due to the global health crisis, as there was a clear effort to keep the 87-year old actor safe and protected. With that said, will things now be different entering season 19? Is Bishop gone?\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bv6hExV8LV4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The state of the country is absolutely better now than it was throughout most of season 18 production; just on the basis of that alone, there is potential for\u00a0<em>NCIS\u00a0<\/em>to include Ducky in more episodes \u2014 and in more scenes, as opposed to just throwing him in remotely. Yet, we\u2019re also not out of the woods, especially with the highly-contagious Delta variant of the virus out on the loose. If we were to guess, we would imagine that the writers will still try to exercise caution including David for the sake of his safety.<\/p>\n<p>If there is one requirement we have for Ducky in season 19, it\u2019s for him to be around Gibbs at some point. If Mark Harmon is scaling back his presence, it\u2019s imperative that we get at least one more scene between these two OG characters. They are the only people left who were full-time cast members from the beginning! (Remember, Sean Murray and Brian Dietzen were recurring in season 1.) Our hope is that as the season progresses, there will be a few occasions to sprinkle in more Ducky.<\/p>\n<p>At this point in the show, we don\u2019t envision McCallum ever being in every single episode again; yet, with his title of NCIS historian and with his position in the show\u2019s history so clear, it\u2019s important the writers don\u2019t forget him. We\u2019re hoping we see him more than in season 18, as he\u2019s both a fantastic character and a much-important dose of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> nostalgia.
