\nAnother young influencer\u2019s life has been cut tragically short.<\/p>\n

According to reports, TikTok<\/strong> star Matima Miller<\/strong>, who was known on the platform as Swavy<\/strong> and Babyface.s<\/strong>, has been shot dead at 19 years old. Wilmington Police Department confirmed the internet-famous teen was the victim of a homicide shooting in Wilmington\u2019s Southbridge neighborhood in Delaware on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Authorities responded to an emergency call around 10:45 a.m. and found the dancer suffering from a gunshot wound. Officials didn\u2019t say where the victim was shot, but confirmed he was taken to the hospital, where he later died.<\/p>\n

The tragic news<\/a> spread on social media<\/a> before the police even confirmed the identity of the teen \u2014 who boasted more than 2.5 million followers on TikTok. His final post, made just hours before he died, racked up more than 5 million views.<\/p>\n

Naturally, fans and friends flocked to social media to mourn Swavy\u2019s untimely passing. YouTube<\/strong> star Damaury \u201cKid Mauri\u201d Mikula<\/strong> announced the death of his \u201chomeboy\u201d in an emotional video posted Monday, telling fans through tears:<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, my friend Swavy, man \u2014 he got shot. All he did was make videos \u2014 vids, vids, vids, going up, up, up, up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Mauri went on to call Swavy \u201cso innocent,\u201d continuing:<\/p>\n

\u201cI love you, my n****. Dead ass, bro. I know you can\u2019t hear in the real world right now but you\u2019re up there looking down. I\u2019m about to go hard for you, bro\u2026 Seeing him getting taken out was like\u2026 it don\u2019t make no sense. I literally just texted him and everything on Instagram<\/strong> right before this \u2014 literally like probably right before it happ<\/a>ened.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He said of the senseless violence that took his friend\u2019s life:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just dumb, bro. So f**king dumb.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Meanwhile, Swavy\u2019s \u201ctwin brother,\u201d @famouswooda<\/strong>, who appeared in many of his videos, added:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis hurt more than anything ever bro I lost my brother I ain\u2019t eat all day I\u2019m literally trying my hardest to stop crying and I can\u2019t! I LOVE U\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Per Delaware Online<\/em>, this fatal shooting brings the total homicides in Wilmington in 2021 to 16. The city has had 82 shootings so far this year.<\/p>\n
