First with his four-hour director\u2019s cut of <em>Justice League<\/em>\u00a0on HBO Max, then with his Las Vegas zombie heist\u00a0<em>Army of the Dead<\/em> on <strong>Netflix<\/strong>. And he\u2019s keeping busy. At one point, Snyder was developing a <em>Star Wars<\/em> film inspired by Akira Kurosawa\u2019s <em>Seven Samurai,\u00a0<\/em>but <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> came this May that he had reworked his idea into one that could take place outside the galaxy far, far away.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s official: Snyder has set his next project at Netflix as <em><strong>Rebel Moon,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>a title that winks at the project\u2019s\u00a0<em>Star Wars <\/em>origins, but that will tell an original story with the hopes of launching a new \u201cepic sci-fi fantasy\u201d franchise.<\/p>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post --><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/zack-snyder-sets-next-movie-sci-fi-adventure-rebel-moon-at-netflix-exclusive-1234978201\/\">THR<\/a> reports that <em>Rebel Moon<\/em> will re-team Snyder with\u00a0<strong>Shay Hatten<\/strong> and <strong>Kurt Johnstad<\/strong>, who co-wrote the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>s for <em>Army of the Dead<\/em> and <em>300<\/em>, respectively. He and his wife and regular collaborator\u00a0<strong>Deborah Snyder<\/strong> will produce. THR describes the story as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe story is set in motion when a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy is threatened by the armies of a tyrannical regent named Balisarius. Desperate people dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them make a stand.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The project will also mark a reunion for Snyder and <strong>Scott Stuber<\/strong>, the head of original films at Netflix. Even if <em>Rebel Moon<\/em> doesn\u2019t feature Jedi defending a village in space, it\u2019s not hard to see how Snyder and his team could repurpose his <em>Star Wars<\/em> idea. We may not see anyone wielding lightsabers, but the influence is still there. He told THR:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 -->\u201cThis is me growing up as an Akira Kurosawa fan, a\u00a0<em>Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0fan. It\u2019s my love of sci-fi and a giant adventure. My hope is that this also becomes a massive IP and a universe that can be built out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Army of the Dead<\/em>\u00a0had\u00a0already wrapped production on its prequel film back in December, even before the movie hit Netflix.
