Marcel made a monkey out of David Schwimmer on the set of \u201cFriends,\u201d the show\u2019s animal trainer claimed.<\/p>\n

The trainer of the iconic monkey star eviscerated Schwimmer over disparaging remarks the 54-year-old actor made about the animal during the sitcom\u2019s recent reunion show.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, I didn\u2019t watch the reunion interview, but I heard from others what Schwimmer said,\u201d Mike Morris, 53, told the Sun<\/a> of the primate-like poop-slinging.<\/p>\n

The animal handler was referring to the show\u2019s Q&A segment<\/a>, in which the sitcom star revealed that he didn\u2019t like working with \u201cthe monkey.\u201d Schwimmer was referring to Katie and Monkey, the two capuchin monkeys who played the simian sidekick of his \u201cFriends\u201d character, Ross Geller. <\/p>\n

The New York native claimed during the reunion that the hairy thespian would not only ruin the painstakingly rehearsed takes but would also eat live bugs that Morris fed him during shooting and then proceed to wipe his \u201cmonkey grubby hands all over\u201d Schwimmer. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was time for Marcel to f\u2013k off!\u201d the \u201cBand Of Brothers\u201d star exclaimed during the nostalgic roundtable discussion.<\/p>\n

Suffice it to say, Katie and Monkey\u2019s acting coach didn\u2019t take too kindly to the comments, which he deemed hurtful and untrue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just don\u2019t agree with it. If anything he threw off their timing, if we want to be truthful,\u201d said the indignant ape whisperer, who claimed that Schwimmer was \u201cfine with the monkeys for the first couple episodes.\u201d<\/p>\n

The friction reportedly began after \u201cpeople would laugh at the monkey\u201d whereupon \u201che got jealous because it wasn\u2019t him getting the laughs,\u201d according to Morris. <\/p>\n

He claimed that Schwimmer \u201cseemed to get a little bitter\u201d about getting upstaged by his furry co-stars and would refuse to rehearse scenes with them. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt got to the point where he just really resented the monkey being there. He obviously had a problem with her and he\u2019s still talking about it now,\u201d Morris added. <\/p>\n

The remarks weren\u2019t just inaccurate, according to the monkey trainer. Morris said Schwimmer had also disgraced the memory of Monkey, who died from cancer at the age of 36 this past August.<\/p>\n

\u201cI find it despicable for him to still be speaking ill of her,\u201d lamented the bereaved animal lover. <\/p>\n
