The streamer on Thursday announced that its hit original series<\/a> was renewed for a third season.<\/p>\n

The first three episodes of season two of EVIL are currently available to stream on Paramount , and TV Fanatic has been keeping up!<\/p>\n

According to Paramount , EVIL Season 2 is already one of the service’s top acquisition drivers, with viewership growing week over week compared to the first season.<\/p>\n

New episodes of the 13-episode long second season drop weekly on Sundays, exclusively for Paramount subscribers.<\/p>\n

If you’re still in the dark about the show, EVIL is a psychological mystery that examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science<\/a> and religion.<\/p>\n

The series focuses on a skeptical female psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a contractor as they investigate the church\u2019s backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions and hauntings.<\/p>\n

Their job is to assess if there is a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.<\/p>\n

The second season brings evil closer to home.<\/p>\n

Kristen struggles with her darker nature, while David suffers temptation as he gets closer to his ordination.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ben is visited by night terrors that prey on his greatest fears.<\/p>\n

EVIL stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Michael Emerson, Christine Lahti, Kurt Fuller, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco and Dalya Knapp<\/a>.<\/p>\n

EVIL is produced by CBS Studios in association with King Size Productions.<\/p>\n

Robert King, Michelle King, Liz Glotzer, Rockne S. O\u2019Bannon and Nelson McCormick serve as executive producers. The series is distributed worldwide by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group.<\/p>\n

The renewal comes amid news<\/a> that Robert and Michelle King have inked a new five-year overall deal with CBS Studios, so expect many more shows from the duo.<\/p>\n

EVIL is one of two CBS transplants at the streaming service.<\/p>\n

SEAL Team was recently confirmed to be moving, while Clarice was in contention.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, a deal could not be reached to move the latter.<\/p>\n
