The Brooklyn teenager accused of shooting a tourist in Times Square was ordered held on $200,000 bail Thursday, as authorities released new details of the incident.<\/p>\n

Avon Darden, 16, was arraigned on attempted murder and gun possession charges in Manhattan Criminal Court\u2019s Youth Court Division in the June 27 wounding of US Marine Samuel Poulin.<\/p>\n

Surveillance video from the Crossroads of the World allegedly captured Darden arguing with another man, who fled when the teenager pulled a gun, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Darden then allegedly chased the man and wildly opened fire, with the bullet striking Poulin, 21, the complaint said. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe defendant, in the middle of the day \u2026 in the middle of Times Square, pulled a firearm from his backpack and discharged it,\u201d prosecutor Matthew Thiman told Judge Althea Drysdale during the arraignment. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe facts of this case are especially serious,\u201d Thiman added.<\/p>\n

Police sources said the dispute stemmed from the night before, when Darden allegedly walked in front of a breakdancer, sparking an argument.<\/p>\n

Defense attorney Sarah Legler argued that Darden has \u201cno criminal record\u201d \u2014 having recently completed one year of probation on a 2019 robbery case.<\/p>\n

Sources said the teenager has five prior arrests as a juvenile, all of them sealed.<\/p>\n

In his latest case, he was charged with first- and second-degree attempted murder, second- and third-degree assault, first- and second-degree endangerment and five weapons possession charges.<\/p>\n

Darden fled the scene of the shooting but turned himself in to cops Wednesday. <\/p>\n

Police later found a .380-caliber shell casing at the scene. <\/p>\n

Poulin, who was in the Big App<\/a>le from upstate to attend a baptism, was walking on West 45th Street when he told cops he heard a gunshot, then felt a pain in his back. <\/p>\n

His wound was not life-threatening.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Darden\u2019s neighbors in Bushwick told The Post the teen has been a troublesome presence on the block since moving there with his mom last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat short-ass, little troublesome-ass boy,\u201d one neighbor said. \u201cI know he is always in trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n

Darden\u2019s mother was in court Thursday but declined to comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
