Director <strong>Chris McKay<\/strong> and star <strong>Chris Pratt<\/strong> are both expected to return for the sequel, and there are currently discussions to bring the entire creative team from the first film back as well. There are no story details at the moment, but the first film involved people from the future recruiting folks from the past to help fight a war against monstrous aliens.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline has the scoop on\u00a0<em>The Tomorrow War 2<\/em>, reporting that \u201cdiscussions are in place to bring the whole creative gang back both in front of and behind the camera including director Chris McKay and screenwriter <strong>Zach Dean<\/strong>; and stars Pratt, <strong>Yvonne Strahovski<\/strong>, <strong>Betty Gilpin<\/strong>, <strong>Sam Richardson<\/strong>, <strong>Edwin Hodge<\/strong>, and..<strong>J.K. Simmons<\/strong>.\u201d<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->The first film hit Amazon Prime Video over Independence Day weekend and is said to be the \u201cbiggest live-action streaming movie of the summer,\u201d at least according to\u00a0Screen Engine\u2019s PostVOD. There are no plot details in place yet, and I\u2019m about 99.9% sure no one has a story lined up yet. Instead, someone, somewhere, said, \u201cHey, let\u2019s make a sequel!\u201d And now it\u2019s going to be someone\u2019s job to figure out what the hell that sequel will be. It\u2019s going to be tough since the first film had a very definitive conclusion. But hey, that never stopped other <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> before. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The film is\u2026fine? I guess? I wouldn\u2019t say it\u2019s\u00a0<em>terrible<\/em>, but it\u2019s bloated as hell, and Chris Pratt remains one of our blandest action heroes. <em>The Tomorrow War<\/em> did have a few saving graces, though. For one thing, the creature design for the aliens (which are called\u00a0Whitespikes) is neat. For another,\u00a0<em>I Think You Should Leave<\/em>\u2018s <strong>Sam Richardson<\/strong> steals the entire movie as one of the recently-drafted soldiers fighting alongside Pratt. My advice for the sequel: kill Pratt\u2019s character off im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely and just let Richardson be the lead.
