Peacock wants to take us back to Rutherford Falls<\/em>. The streaming service has renewed the single-camera comedy series for a second season.<\/p>\n

Created by Michael Schur, Ed Helms, and Sierra Teller Ornelas, the Rutherford Falls<\/em> TV show stars Helms, Jana Schmieding (Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux), Michael Greyeyes (N\u00eahiyaw from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation), Jesse Leigh, and Dustin Milligan. The story follows Nathan Rutherford (Helms) and Reagan Wells (Schmieding), two lifelong best friends. Nathan is a proud descendant of the town\u2019s founder and he runs the town\u2019s heritage museum. Reagan is a member of the Minishonka Nation and she has dreams of championing the history of her people. The two find themselves at a crossroads \u2013 quite literally \u2013 when their sleepy town gets an unexpected wake-up call.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00b7 RUTHERFORD FALLS is one of the largest Indigenous writer\u2019s rooms on television with five Native writers staffed on the series including co-creator and executive producer Sierra Teller Ornelas (Navajo), Bobby Wilson (Sisseton-Wahpeton Dakota), Tai Leclaire(Kanien\u2019keh\u00e1:ka [Mohawk Nation]\/Mi\u2019kmaq), Jana Schmieding (Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux), and Tazbah Chavez (Bishop Paiute\/Din\u00e9\/San Carlos Apache). Jana Schmieding (Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux) and Michael Greyeyes ([N\u00eahiyaw (Plains Cree) from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation \u2013 Treaty Six Territory in Saskatchewan]) star in the series.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Season one of the series has reached a remarkable 94% on Rotten Tomatoes earning \u201cCertified Fresh\u201d status.<\/p>\n
