How it works is a character drops from a height and slams into the ground in a crouch with feet spread apart, knees bent \u2014 or on one knee, always with a fist pounding the earth.<\/p>\n<p>The move, also called a three-point landing, has become so well-worn that it\u2019s parodied in the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/disneyplus.bn5x.net\/c\/2229206\/1100397\/9358\">new \u201cBlack Widow\u201d film<\/a>, out Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow spy Yelena Belova, played by<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/04\/07\/zach-braff-florence-pugh-hit-the-beach-for-his-46th-birthday\/?_ga=2.124484680.331765923.1625581054-1620225911.1606143209\"> Florence Pugh<\/a>, makes fun of the Widow\u2019s dramatic landings (as <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/07\/06\/scarlett-johansson-is-pregnant-expecting-baby-with-colin-jost\/?_ga=2.68959699.331765923.1625581054-1620225911.1606143209\">Scarlett Johansson<\/a> did memorably in 2010\u2019s \u201cIron Man 2\u201d and other Marvel films).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy do you always do that thing?\u201d Pugh snarks to Johansson. \u201cIt\u2019s like a fighting pose. You\u2019re a total poser.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But where did the superhero landing come from? That\u2019s a big resource for the people adapting Marvel movies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of the earlier examples of the superhero landing can be found in \u201cDaicon IV,\u201d an animated short made for a 1983 convention.
