“#HBO Max Releases First Image of ‘SATC’ Revival<\/strong>”

\u201cAnd just like that,\u201d we have our first look at HBO Max\u2019s upcoming Sex and the City<\/em> revival. HBO Max released the first image of the new series<\/a>, And Just Like That\u2026<\/em>, which has begun production in New York City.<\/p>\n

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis return to their iconic roles, looking as stylish as ever. But there\u2019s no Kim Cattrall, who isn\u2019t part of the new series.<\/p>\n

The new chapter of the groundbreaking HBO series follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as \u201cthey navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s,\u201d reads HBO Max\u2019s logline.<\/p>\n

Many familiar faces from the show\u2019s original cast are set to app<\/a>ear, including Evan Handler, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson, Mario Cantone, and Chris North as Carrie\u2019s longtime love, \u201cMr. Big.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em> and Madam Secretary<\/em> alum Sara Ram\u00edrez also joins the cast as new series regular \u201cChe Diaz,\u201d a standup comedia<\/a>n and host of a podcast that Carrie frequently appears on. Ram\u00edrez\u2019s character is one of many characters of color who will be joining the series. Casting for the remainder of those roles has yet to be announced.<\/p>\n

Along with starring, Parker, Davis, and Nixon will serve as executive producers alongside Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky, John Melfi, and Michael Patrick King. The show\u2019s writers include Samantha Irby, Rachna Fruchbom, and Keli Goff, with Rottenberg, Zuritsky, and King writing as well. Sex and the City was created by Darren Star and based on Candace Bushnell\u2019s book of the same name.<\/p>\n
