\nJAY-Z, Damon Dash and Kareem \u201cBiggs\u201d Burke founded the legendary Roc-A-Fella Records in 1995 under the Def Jam Recordings umbrella and managed to put out dozens of albums, including classics such as JAY-Z\u2019s The Blueprint<\/em> and Kanye West\u2019s The College Dropout.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

But friction between the three Hip Hop moguls reportedly ripped the imprint apart and it dissolved in 2013. Eight years later, JAY-Z wound up\u00a0filing a lawsuit against Dash\u00a0last month for attempting to auction off Hov\u2019s 1996 debut Reasonable Doubt<\/em> as an NFT.<\/p>\n

JAY-Z ultimately emerged victorious in court and Dash was prohibited from doing anything of the sort. But according to Dash, JAY-Z\u2019s issues didn\u2019t stem from him \u2014 instead, he blamed the label\u2019s downfall on Burke.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason Roc-A-Fella Records broke up in the first place was \u2019cause he didn\u2019t want to break bread with Biggs no more,\u201d Dash explained during an interview with The Social<\/a> Proof Podcas<\/em>t. \u201cI was like, \u2018Yo, we could start something different,\u2019 but I can\u2019t do that to Biggs. He didn\u2019t want Biggs to be a part of it anymore. That\u2019s what happ<\/a>ened.\u201d<\/p>\n
