HOUSTON \u2014 As the Yankees try to get Aroldis Chapman out of his prolonged slump, Aaron Boone has been flexible with how to finish game<\/a>s.<\/p>\n

In Friday\u2019s 4-0 win over the Astros at Minute Maid Park, the manager went to Chad Green to start the seventh with a four-run lead.<\/p>\n

Green continued to dominate with a pair of scoreless innings before Jonathan Loaisiga finished the game with a perfect ninth.<\/p>\n

Boone has been looking for spots to get Chapman back on track and has said he would use him in a save situation.<\/p>\n

As for how he\u2019ll choose to handle the ninth inning for now, Boone said he has more than one option, noting that Green closed the game in the most recent save opportunity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re gonna get Chapman back to closing and when [Zack] Britton comes back, he can close,\u2019\u2019 Boone said of Britton, who is expected to return from a strained hamstring after the All-Star break.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Boone said he went with Green in the seventh because the middle of the Astros\u2019 lineup was due up. And the top of the order was up in the ninth, when a fresh Loaisiga came in.<\/p>\n

Britton is scheduled to throw another live batting practice session on Saturday.<\/p>\n

If that goes well, Boone said the left-hander will likely throw a bullpen session over the All-Star break in preparation for being activated Thursday, when the Yankees open the second half against the Red Sox in The Bronx.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
