\n Viola Davis showed support for Tamar Braxton after the singer suffered from a possibly intentional overdose on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The 43-year-old star is recovering in the hospital after being found unresponsive by her boyfriend David Adefeso, 49, in the Ritz-Carlton Residences in downtown Los Angeles. The 911 call suggested that she could have overdosed on prescript<\/a>ion medication.<\/p>\n

Davis, 54, tweeted a supportive message, acknowledging the situation and bringing awareness to mental health and addiction.<\/p>\n

\u201cPraying for Tamar Braxton. Mental Health has got to be a part of our \u2018wokeness,\u2019 \u201d Davis wrote Friday. \u201cThere is strength in vulnerability. You matter Miss Tamar Braxton. Praying for you, your beautiful son and family. \u201d<\/p>\n

The Braxton family\u2019s spokesperson released a statement to update the public following the incident: \u201cTamar has had a very tough and emotional day \u2014 more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Braxton is being monitored around the clock, as some believe she attempted to take her own life, NME reports. She is currently in stable condition.<\/p>\n

The R&B vocalist and reality TV personality has released five albums, most recently 2017\u2019s \u201cBluebird of Happiness,\u201d and has starred alongside her famous sisters in \u201cBraxton Family Values\u201d since 2011.<\/p>\n

She co-hosted the Emmy-winning daytime talk show \u201cThe Real\u201d for three years, ending with her high-profile firing in 2016. She bounced back in 2019 as the winner of the second season of CBS\u2019s \u201cCelebrity Big Brother.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her new docuseries<\/a>, \u201cTamar Braxton: Get Ya Life,\u201d was set to premiere July 30 on WE TV. Reps for the production have not responded to The Post\u2019s request for comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
