In Ray Bradbury\u2019s short story A Sound of Thunder<\/em>, a seemingly insignificant change in ancient history creates a ripple effect, completely transforming the future. Marvel Studios will explore this \u201cbutterfly effect\u201d with the release of What If\u2026?<\/em>, a new Disney+ animated series that shows how the Marvel universe would become unrecognizable if some of its formative events happ<\/a>ened just a little bit differently.<\/p>\n

Debuting August 22nd, What If\u2026?<\/em> is the fourth Marvel series to launch on Disney+ this year. It sports an animation style that\u2019s reminiscent of Telltale Game<\/a>s\u2019 The Walking Dead<\/em> or the 2016 Berserk<\/em><\/a> adaptation, and will fill in the weekly Wednesday release slot currently held by Loki<\/em> (the season finale of Loki<\/em> comes mid-July).<\/p>\n
