The animated spy comedy\u2019s twelfth season is set to premiere next month, so now is a good time to catch up on everything we know about <em>Archer<\/em> season 12 so far.<br \/><span id=\"more-683027\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Archer_Season_12_Release_Date_and_Where_You_Can_Watch_It\"><\/span>Archer Season 12 Release Date and Where You Can Watch It<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The first two episodes of <em>Archer<\/em> season 12 are set to premiere on\u00a0<strong>August 25<\/strong>, <strong>2021<\/strong>,\u00a0on linear cable via the FXX Network, which has been the show\u2019s cable home since 2017. They will also be available to stream the next day on Hulu under the \u201cFX on Hulu\u201d banner. Six more episodes will air in the subsequent weeks, with the season total finishing at eight.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_Archer\"><\/span>What is Archer?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post --><em>Archer<\/em>, which kicked off in 2009, follows the exploits of Sterling Archer, the world\u2019s greatest \u2014 and probably most arrogant \u2014 spy. He initially worked for an intelligence organization called ISIS, where his mother, Malory Archer, was the director (the show gave up the ISIS name after a real-world ISIS terrorist group came to international prominence). In an effort to keep things fresh, the writers have frequently changed the setting and occupation of Archer and his friends: in a season titled <em>Archer Vice<\/em>, the characters tried to sell cocaine on the black market, and later in the show\u2019s run, it took on different aesthetics while playing out in a comatose Archer\u2019s mind, including <em>Dreamland<\/em>, <em>Danger Island<\/em>, and <em>1999<\/em>. Last season, Archer finally awoke from his coma to discover that the dynamics around him had changed significantly, and we imagine the upcoming season will see him continue to gr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>le with those changes.<\/p>\n<p>This season, Archer and gang face a new threat: a spy conglomerate known as IIA (International Intelligence Agency). With a limited number of spy jobs up for grabs, can the Agency compete against the soulless vultures of IIA, or will our mom-and-pop spy agency be the next to get swallowed alive?<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Archer_Season_12_Showrunner_Crew_and_More\"><\/span>Archer Season 12 Showrunner, Crew, and More<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Adam Reed<\/strong> created the show and continues to serve as the showrunner and executive producer alongside <strong>Matt Thompson<\/strong>,\u00a0who recently made his feature directing debut with <em>America: The Motion Picture<\/em>, and <strong>Casey Willis<\/strong>, who also directed two episodes of the show\u2019s eleventh season.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Archer_Season_12_Cast\"><\/span>Archer Season 12 Cast<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Archer<\/em> has a sprawling cast of regulars, which includes <strong>H. Jon Benjamin<\/strong> as Sterling Archer, <strong>Aisha Tyler<\/strong> as Lana Kane, <strong>Chris Parnell<\/strong> as Cyril Figgis, <strong>Amber Nash<\/strong> as Pam Poovey,\u00a0<strong>Judy Greer<\/strong> as Cheryl Tunt, Adam Reed himself as Ray Gillette, and\u00a0<strong>Lucky Yates<\/strong> as Dr. Krieger. Guest stars will reportedly include\u00a0<strong>Pamela Adlon<\/strong>, <strong>Eric Andr\u00e9<\/strong>, <strong>Bruce Campbell<\/strong>, <strong>Harvey Guill\u00e9n<\/strong>, <strong>Kayvan Novak<\/strong>, and <strong>Stephen Tobolowsky<\/strong>, among others. (It\u2019s probably a safe bet that we hear from <strong>Dave Willis<\/strong> as Barry, Archer\u2019s longtime nemesis who just recently became his pal in season 11.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jessica Walter<\/strong>, who voiced Malory Archer, died in March of this year at age 80, but she reportedly recorded lines for this upcoming season shortly before she passed away. It\u2019s still unknown exactly how many episodes she will be in, or if the production had to rework any of its episodes or storylines to account for her death.
