So how smart is she?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a Brooklyn girl. Brooklyn girls have street smarts. If not academically gifted we know how to cross the street in two-way traffic. Do something bad and being smart, you can turn it around.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEarly on I\u2019m in a store and I heard one lady say, \u2018I watch Judge Judy but I don\u2019t understand what it is about her.\u2019 Her friend said, \u2018She doesn\u2019t drone on. She gets to the point.\u2019 I told myself, \u2018I\u2019m no entertainer. I\u2019m a judge on the bench. I don\u2019t care whether people like me or not as long as they watch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy personality\u2019s natural to me even if you don\u2019t think it\u2019s a judicial demeanor. Others with judicial demeanors tried this type show. They\u2019re all off the air. I\u2019m about what justice feels, tastes and smells like. A bad guy, I\u2019m prepared to dress you down. Nobody thought\u00a0Alan Alda\u00a0really did surgery on \u2018MASH.\u2019 He was convincing. But his was a TV program. Mine\u2019s justice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI actually believed I was a big deal when I graduated law school. My father was my cheerleader. He told me I could be whatever I wanted to be. In my junior high school yearbook, June 21, 1957, he wrote: \u2018I expect I should be able to address you someday as \u201cDear doctor,\u201d \u201cDear teacher\u201d or \u201cDear star.\u201d \u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n<p>OK, so what can you say about your new show?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve chosen a different robe color, I\u2019ve eliminated the lace collar, and I\u2019m contractually bound not to say anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also didn\u2019t talk about her new Shih Tzu puppy. A female puppy. And what did Judy name her?<\/p>\n<p>Joey. Judge Judy named her baby girl dog Joey \u2014 same name as my late husband.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"French_boasted\"><\/span><strong>French boasted<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Up now for\u00a0Matt Damon\u00a0is \u201cStillwater.\u201d And it runs deep. American oil-rig roughneck goes to France to save his estranged daughter in prison on murder charges.<\/p>\n<p>Damon: \u201cThe man\u2019s trying to repair his relationship with his daughter. He\u2019s made mistakes as a father. Goes to visit her behind bars. Works to try to exonerate her. Believes she\u2019s innocent. But he\u2019s in over his head.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe shot in Marseilles. It\u2019s about a guy from Oklahoma who\u2019s feeling increasingly powerless. This is a new world he\u2019s moving into really fast and it\u2019s leaving him behind. He has value and wants to contribute. Her prison scenes were incredibly difficult. We relied on her to be an engine for my character and to keep him going.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis movie works as a a love letter to the beautiful city Marseilles. These films aren\u2019t made for people to watch on their phones. They\u2019re meant to be enjoyed in as large a format as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStillwater\u201d splashes onto big screens July 30.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Lookie_at_%E2%80%98Loki\"><\/span><strong>Lookie at\u00a0\u2018Loki\u2019<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Should you care,\u00a0Owen Wilson\u00a0has joined Marvel Cinematic Universe. His thing is called \u201cLoki.\u201d Show stars\u00a0Tom Hiddleston\u00a0who also exec produced.<\/p>\n<p>Owen: \u201cIt\u2019s my first time in the Marvel universe. They once spoke to me about \u2018Iron Man,\u2019 \u2018Captain America,\u2019 even \u2018Hulk,\u2019 and I was, \u2018Well .\u2009.\u2009.
