Reviews out of the Cannes Film Festival\u00a0have ratcheted up anticipation even higher, praising the distinctive auteur\u2019s typically earnest approach, ambitious style, and masterful grasp of tone.<\/p>\n<p>Now, we can whet appetites even further with the newest clip released for the upcoming film, centering on a steamy (pun absolutely intended) interaction between a very unclothed <strong>Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/strong> in the bath and <strong>Frances McDormand<\/strong>. Take a look for yourself.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_French_Dispatch_Clip\"><\/span>The French Dispatch Clip<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post --><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"THE FRENCH DISPATCH | &quot;Let&#039;s Start With The Typos&quot; Clip | Searchlight Pictures\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dvubfl-qeC8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>To set the scene, <em>The French Dispatch<\/em> is very much an anthology film with each chapter dealing with its own specific storyline. As you may have gathered from this clip, this sequence revolves around a group of protestors\u00a0\u2014 McDormand\u2019s\u00a0Lucinda Krementz has apparently just been tear-gassed (and is also sad, but most definitely not lonely) \u2014 during student riots in 1960s France. Zeffirelli (Chalamet) is boasting about his revolutionary manifesto, but Mrs. Krementz is\u2026unimpressed, to say the least, and subsequently gets to work correcting typos and offering pointed critiques. Editors: can\u2019t live with them and can\u2019t live without \u2019em, am I right?<\/p>\n<p>As one of those dorks who tries to avoid trailers for <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> I know I\u2019m going to watch, I have to admit I caved with this clip and am mildly blown away by just how well both McDormand and Chalamet acquit themselves with Anderson\u2019s bone-dry dialogue and utterly deadpan sense of humor. Of course, this isn\u2019t McDormand\u2019s first go-around in a Wes Anderson film, as the popular actor also starred in the delightful <em><strong>Moonrise Kingdom<\/strong><\/em>, but Chalamet carries himself as if he were a longtime Anderson muse and seamlessly slides into this sneakily demanding role.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson has <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.indiewire.com\/2019\/04\/wes-anderson-french-dispatch-details-interview-release-date-1202059011\/\">previously described his approach to this film<\/a>, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe story is not easy to explain. [It\u2019s about an] American journalist based in France [who] creates his magazine. It is more a portrait of this man, of this journalist who fights to write what he wants to write. It\u2019s not a movie about freedom of the press, but when you talk about reporters you also talk about what\u2019s going on in the real world.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 -->As \/Film\u2019s Jason Gorber puts it in his review out of Cannes, \u201cIt\u2019s a film that weaponizes whimsy in ways that will dazzle die-hard fans of the director.
