Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time<\/em> has passed the 10 billion yen mark (~US$90,576,500) 127 days after its release date in March.<\/span><\/p>\n

6.55 million viewers had flocked to watch the final Rebuild of Evangelion film, which ends its theatrical run in Japan on July 21.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Evangelion 3.0+1.0\u00a0<\/em>opened in 466 theaters on\u00a0March 8\u00a0after several\u00a0delays. The movie became the highest-grossing film in the Rebuild of Evangelion series<\/a> in April when it grossed 7.42 billion yen (~US$67.2 million).<\/span><\/p>\n

An updated version of the movie, titled Evangelion: 3.0+1.01 <\/em>Thrice Upon A Time<\/em>, is set for a Prime Video international release on\u00a0August 13.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The movie is the fourth and final entry in the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy, which is a retelling of 1995\u2019s Neon Genesis Evangelion\u00a0<\/i>series. Its theme<\/a> song, \u201cOne Last Kiss,\u201d was performed by Utada Hikaru, who also performed the theme songs of the other Rebuild of Evangelion movies.<\/span><\/p>\n
