The characters of TBS\u2019s comedy anthology Miracle Workers<\/em> are hitting the open road for Season 3.<\/p>\n

In the 1840s-set installment, the pious Reverend Ezekiel Brown (Daniel Radcliffe), an emigrated British priest desperate to save his American town (and its residents, who we quickly learn, are dying out), hatches a plan for them to take the Oregon Trail to \u2014 hopefully \u2014 greener pastures. To do so, however, they need a guide. Enter: outlaw Benny the Teen (Steve Buscemi).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe find him half dead, and soon learn he\u2019s been betrayed by his own gang, and he\u2019s on the run from the law,\u201d Buscemi says of the murderer he plays in Season 3. \u201cHe starts out using Zeke and his followers to evade the law\u2026he really just wants cover.\u201d Along the way through, the two will bond, despite their very<\/em> different outlooks on morality. \u201cThey are really opposites, but there\u2019s something about each other that they still like,\u201d Buscemi adds.<\/p>\n

And while Benny and Zeke form a lasting friendship, there\u2019s an even deeper relationship on the horizon for the preacher as well. A spark will ignite between Zeke and one member of his flock, Prudence Aberdeen (Geraldine Viswanathan), a devoted wife and caretaker for her spoiled husband Todd (Jon Bass). \u201cShe\u2019s trapp<\/a>ed in this relationship with an awful man,\u201d Viswanathan says of Prudence and Todd. \u201cShe just really wants to get out there and experience the adventure of the Oregon Trail and not be confined to being his wife and all the joys of being a woman in history.\u201d<\/p>\n

As with every season of the comedy \u2014 earliest installments were set in Heaven and in the Dark Ages \u2014 Viswanathan and Radcliffe\u2019s characters will edge closer to each other romantically throughout the episodes. This time, expect a full-on tryst. \u201cWe amp it up this season,\u201d Viswanathan promises. \u201cWe take it there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also on the horizon: a black-clad no-name bounty hunter (played by Karan Soni), chasing after Benny, who will also cause chaos for the travel<\/a>ers on the road. Not too<\/em> much chaos, though. \u201cHe looks the part, but is quite bad at what he does,\u201d says Soni of the mysterious hunter, before jokingly adding: \u201che\u2019s like an influencer getting into acting \u2014 you\u2019re hot, but do you got the goods? He clearly doesn\u2019t, because he\u2019s been chasing an older man for years and can\u2019t seem to catch him.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019s certainly no match for these adventurers, on- and off-screen. One thing Harry Potter<\/em> star Radcliffe learned this season about his costar Buscemi, is that he\u2019s quite good with a firearm. \u201cI would occasionally just look over and see Steve practicing doing gun tricks,\u201d says Radcliffe with a laugh. \u201cIt\u2019s cool that my life led me to a place where I\u2019m watching Steve Buscemi do gun tricks.\u201d<\/p>\n
