TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>. In it, she pokes fun at the limited amenities afforded to overweight travelers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-tiktok wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-tiktok\"\/>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to have to ask for a seat belt extender or worry that they\u2019ll make me buy an extra seat,\u201d Donnelly said. \u201cThe traveling industry should outfit planes to suit everybody\u2019s needs without bigger people having to be embarrassed or uncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Southwest Airlines invites plus-size passengers to proactively purchase an extra seat for their comfort. The cost of the additional chair is refunded to the customer at the conclusion of their trip. Larger passengers can also request an additional seat at the airport at no extra cost.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very proud of our policy, as we feel it provides comfort and hospitality for all of our customers,\u201d said a Southwest spokesperson.\u00a0\u201cIt was a creative solution to what can be a sensitive topic, and we\u2019ve found that our customers appreciate it.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure American, Delta and United, require bigger guests \u2014 who need more space than the 17-inch width of most airplane seats \u2014 to buy a separate seat for the full cost of their initial ticket.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut why should we be penalized for our bodies?\u201d plus-size travel guru Jeff Jenkins, 35, questioned. \u201cWe don\u2019t want special treatment, we just want the same said the Texas-based blogger, who wears a size 3X. \u201cIf you\u2019re not a large in clothes, you can forget it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then there are the beds.<\/p>\n<p>Nadia noted that most resorts only offer queen-size beds, which can rarely hold large lodgers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a big girl and my husband is a big man,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd most times we can barely fit into those beds stalls.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve had to literally shove myself into my suite\u2019s restroom in order to use the facilities,\u201d Donnelly revealed. \u201cI\u2019ve even heard of some plus-size people having to be cut out of hotel showers because they\u2019re so small.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the Resort in the Bahamas specifically caters to plus-size travelers, with steel-reinforced beds and sturdy chaise lounges, advocates say they\u2019d like to feel welcomed everywhere.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe aren\u2019t asking for world peace,\u201d Donnelly continued. \u201cWe just want
