That became nearly impossible with COVID restrictions, so the crew had to find new targets: each other.<\/p>\n<p>Longtime <em>Jackass<\/em>\u00a0cast member\u00a0Jason \u201cWee Man\u201d Acu\u00f1a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbr.com\/wee-man-how-covid-affected-jackass-4\/\">recently appeared on\u00a0<em><strong>The Nine Club with Chris Roberts<\/strong><\/em><\/a> to\u00a0discuss all of the little ways COVID-19 made the shoot on the fourth film a uniquely challenging experience.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-682435\" src=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/jackass-forever-poopblow-700x467.jpg\" alt=\"Jackass Forever First Look Photos\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/jackass-forever-poopblow-700x467.jpg 700w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/jackass-forever-poopblow-360x240.jpg 360w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/jackass-forever-poopblow-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/d13ezvd6yrslxm.cloudfront.net\/wp\/wp-content\/images\/jackass-forever-poopblow.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Backyard_Brawls_with_Bumps_and_Bruises\"><\/span>Backyard Brawls with Bumps and Bruises<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Without the hapless public to prank, the\u00a0<em>Jackass<\/em> guys had to play jokes on one another more than they usually do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis next one \u2014 because of COVID, and we couldn\u2019t fly and mess with people and all that \u2014 it\u2019s all \u2026 I\u2019ll just say this: it\u2019s backyard \u2018fuck each other up\u2019 stuff. That\u2019s all it is,\u201d Acu\u00f1a said.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, with more pranks being played on the cast, there\u2019s also a chance for more injuries than usual. After all, those backyard gags tend to get brutal.\u00a0Acu\u00f1a confirmed that he did get hurt pretty badly while filming the movie, though he didn\u2019t give any specifics. He did say, however, that compared to filming the previous three films, \u201cThis one hurt more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Jackass Forever<\/em> began filming weeks before the\u00a0COVID-19 pandemic hit in early 2020. According to\u00a0Acu\u00f1a, Paramount Pictures used the\u00a0<em>Jackass<\/em> crew as the first test to see if filming could safely resume on other projects.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe started before COVID, we took the COVID break, and Paramount used us as the guinea pig to see how studios could get back into filming and we had to do all the tests, and do it all. And they\u2019re like, \u2018Well, [the] <em>Jackass<\/em> guys did it.\u2019 It was then used as a tool to get the other ones going \u2026 But, you know, we did all the COVID tests, we did everything and we pulled it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 -->In Paramount\u2019s defense, it\u2019s not like the\u00a0<em>Jackass<\/em> guys don\u2019t already act like walking test dummies. But the boys are getting older and had perhaps hoped that this iteration of\u00a0<em>Jackass\u00a0<\/em>would be a little wiser. Instead, they\u2019re back to beating one another up in backyards, only now with gray hair.<\/p>\n<p><em>Jackass Forever<\/em> is set to release in theaters on <strong>October 22, 2021<\/strong>. The movie\u00a0features returning cast members <strong>Johnny Knoxville<\/strong>, <strong>Steve-O<\/strong>, <strong>Wee Man<\/strong>, <strong>Chris Pontius<\/strong>, <strong>Dave England<\/strong>, <strong>Danger Ehren<\/strong>, and <strong>Preston Lacy<\/strong>. The film has also added new main cast members <strong>Sean \u201cPoopies\u201d McInerney<\/strong>, <strong>Jasper Dolphin<\/strong>, <strong>Zach Holmes<\/strong>, <strong>Eric Manaka<\/strong>, <strong>Compston \u201cDarshark\u201d Wilson<\/strong>, and <strong>Rachel Wolfson<\/strong>, not to mention a slew of guest stars.
