Jaquan Yulee, a former linebacker at Marshall University, died in a car crash on Tuesday night in Suffolk, Va, the university announced Wednesday. <\/p>\n

He was 24. <\/p>\n

Suffolk units responded to a single-vehicle crash around 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday night, <\/a>and the vehicle was found flipped upside down, according to WAVY<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yulee, who was the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n

The cause of the crash was not immedia<\/a>tely clear. <\/p>\n

Across three seasons at Marshall, Yulee registered 48 tackles in 20 game<\/a>s. He played only one game during the 2019 season due to a broken neck and spinal injury, which caused him to miss the 2020 season. He recently opted to transfer from Marshall after the school declared him medically ineligible, thwarting a potential return.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He reportedly was deciding between Virginia State University, Central State University and Virginia Union University.<\/p>\n

But more, he was beloved by coaches and teammates because of the type of person he was. He will be missed.\u201d\n <\/div>\n
