He stated his belief that crypto is right-wing and inequitable:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI believe that cryptocurrency is an inherently right-wing, hyper-capitalistic <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> built primarily to amplify the wealth of its proponents through a combination of tax avoidance, diminished regulatory oversight and artificially enforced scarcity.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Palmer also claimed the crypto industry is controlled by a \u201cpowerful cartel of wealthy figures\u201d which have \u201cevolved to incorporate many of the same institutions tied to the existing centralized financial system they supposedly set out to replace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tech <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> website Mashable labeled it a \u201cShiba Inu-sized dump on crypto\u201d. Palmer went on to state that crypto is not user-friendly with users being blamed for lost passwords or falling victims to scams.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Is there anyone in this space more butthurt than Jackson Palmer? <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DmWBDTrDk9\">pic.twitter.com\/DmWBDTrDk9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 WhalePanda (@WhalePanda) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WhalePanda\/status\/1415358271527981062?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 14, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Palmer, who has been rather quiet during Dogecoin\u2019s epic rise this year, took a swipe at the technology claiming it has been designed to limit consumer protections.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cCryptocurrency is like taking the worst parts of today&#8217;s capitalist system (eg. corruption, fraud, inequality) and using software to technically limit the use of interventions (eg. audits, regulation, taxation) which serve as protections or safety nets for the average person.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em>Related:<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em><em>Has the Doge had its day? Dogecoin interest cools<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He admitted that cryptocurrency \u201cdoesn&#8217;t align with my politics or belief system,\u201d and has no interest in counter-arguments as he \u201cdoesn&#8217;t have the energy\u201d to try and have a dialogue with those \u201cunwilling to engage in a grounded conversation.\u201d He turned off the ability to reply on his Twitter feed.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, Australian Palmer announced he was taking an \u201cextended leave of absence\u201d from the \u201ctoxic\u201d world of cryptocurrency. In 2018 he told<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/9kng57\/dogecoin-my-joke-cryptocurrency-hit-2-billion-jackson-palmer-opinion\"> Vice<\/a> that he made zero profit from his involvement with the Dogecoin project.<\/p>\n<p>DOGE prices have slumped 73% from their May 9 all-time high of $0.731, but were trading up 4% on the day at $0.196 according to CoinGecko.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
