And more importantly, what would the Marvel Cinematic Universe be without its fan-favorite offender, Loki? We\u2019d rather not know the answer \u2014 and according to <strong>Tom Hiddleston<\/strong>, we never will.<\/p>\n<p>Hiddleston\u2019s Loki has been garnering rabid fans since the introduction of the character back in 2011\u2019s <strong><em>Thor<\/em><\/strong>. His popularity continued to rise with <em><strong>The Avengers<\/strong><\/em>, a movie that saw him terrorizing the MCU\u2019s most beloved team of heroes, and continued through <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> like <strong><em>Thor: Ragnarok<\/em><\/strong> and <em><strong>Avengers: Infinity War<\/strong><\/em>. So it wasn\u2019t too surprising that his solo run on Disney+ had a record-breaking premiere.<\/p>\n<p>Now that season 1 of <em><strong>Loki<\/strong><\/em> has come to a close, the natural next question is when will we see him again? And will this show be Hiddleston\u2019s exit from Marvel Studios?<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post --><br \/>\nGiven that the show has already been confirmed for a season 2 and that Loki will <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear in the upcoming animated series\u00a0<em><strong>What If\u2026?<\/strong><\/em>, we can expect Hiddleston to be around for at least a few more years. And after that? <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/tv-shows\/news\/tom-hiddleston-absolutely-play-loki-forever-if-asked\/\">In a Tumblr Q&amp;A<\/a>, the actor swooped in to smother our fears. Answering a fan question, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf I were asked to play Loki for the rest of my life, would I? Yeah, absolutely. I\u2019m so lucky that I\u2019ve got to play Loki for this long. I feel like he\u2019s such an interesting character who\u2019s been around in human consciousness for so long. And he\u2019s got so many different aspects, so many different complex characteristics, that it feels like every time I play him I find out something new or we get to evolve him or take him down an avenue that we haven\u2019t gone down before.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Loki\u2019s evolution has been considerable and, to his point, Hiddleston never runs out of places to take him. The God of Mischief has been conniving and treacherous, but more recently, he\u2019s been conflicted and dare I say, <em>kind<\/em>.\u00a0His new series took the character to a number of brand new places and dared to ask how we\u00a0reconcile his villainous nature and history of betrayal. New actors coming in to fill roles we\u2019ve already seen is certainly on the table. In fact, we\u2019ve already seen different versions of Loki, and there\u2019s no reason they can\u2019t all coexist together. But fear over Hiddleston being replaced isn\u2019t entirely unfounded.<br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 -->Plenty of actors have chosen to step back from the MCU and bid farewell to longtime characters (even if just temporarily).\u00a0This includes two original and extremely popular Avengers, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. Previously played by <strong>Robert Downey Jr.<\/strong> and <strong>Chris Evans<\/strong>, both roles have been recast with new voice actors for the <em>What If\u2026?<\/em> series.<\/p>\n<p>Evans in particular was extremely open about how, following <em><strong>Avengers: End<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, he\u2019d be stepping down from the role and officially saying goodbye to the character. Of course, rumors have been floated that he may return to the role sometime in the future but that remains to be seen. Even so, it likely wouldn\u2019t be in a major role\/solo movie. Just to compare, Hiddleston\u2019s been playing Loki for as long as Evans was our Cap \u2014 so wanting a step back would make sense. Thankfully, he clearly has no plans to retire:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYeah, [Loki\u2019s] been around for a while. I think he\u2019s going to be around for a lot longer. Meanwhile, I\u2019ll just hold on for as long as people want me to hold on for.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>If Hiddleston\u2019s official stance is to play the role as long as people want him to, then this stint as Loki might last a lifetime. The God of Mischief has an army of fans that reach the\u00a0depths of Tumblr and the crowded halls of Comic-Con. A major part of his appeal is how deliciously fun Hiddleston makes the role.
