It truly is Christmas in July, as Peacock just announced its upcoming original holiday movie, The Real Housewives of the North Pole<\/em>, starring Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad<\/em>) and Kyle Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Set to be released later this year, the film will follow \u201cThe Christmas Queens of North Pole, Vermont\u201d \u201cTrish\u201d (Richards) and \u201cDiana\u201d (Brandt), two friends who have won the local Best Holiday House decorating competition for the past nine years. \u201cBut days before Christmas, a friendship-ending argument sparks a town-wide feud and draws the attention of a national magazine writer hoping to make a name for herself with her scintillating expose titled, \u2018Real Housewives of the North Pole,\u2019\u201d states Peacock\u2019s logline.<\/p>\n

Well-known for her role as Marie on Breaking Bad<\/em>, Brandt has many television and film credits to her name, including Life in Pieces<\/em>, The Unicorn<\/em>, and Soulmates<\/em>, for which she received a Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie\/Miniseries<\/a>. Recently, Brandt app<\/a>eared in Love, Victor<\/em> Season 2 as Felix\u2019s (Anthony Turpel) mother, Dawn, and has wrapped filming on the upcoming Lionsgate film The Valet<\/em>, starring alongside Eugenio Derbez, Samara Weaving, and Max Greenfield.<\/p>\n

Having acted since she was a child, Richards, star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em>, appeared in the original Halloween<\/em> film and is set to reprise her role as Lindsey Wallace in the upcoming Halloween Kills<\/em>, set to be released in October. Other acting credits include The Real Housewives All-Stars<\/em>, Little House on the Prairie<\/em>, The Car<\/em>, The Watcher in the Woods<\/em>, and ER<\/em>. Along with her philanthropy work, Richards served as a co-executive producer on the show American Woman<\/em> starring Alicia Silverstone, which was inspired by her own life.<\/p>\n

The Real Housewives of the North Pole<\/em> will be directed by Ron Oliver and will serve as the NBC streaming service\u2019s first original holiday movie. The film will be produced by the Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA), with Tippi Dobrofsky, Neal Dobrofsky, and Spyder Dobrofsky writing and executive producing. Additional producers include Jake Relic, David Wulf, Chris Bongirne, Amanda Phillips, Eric Jarboe, and Brad Krevoy on behalf of MPCA.<\/p>\n
