Secretary of State Antony Blinken\u2019s\u00a0invitation to UN \u201cexperts\u201d\u00a0to investigate \u201cthe scourge of racism, racial discrimination, and xenophobia\u201d in the United States is an utter travesty.<\/p>\n

Bits of Blinken\u2019s\u00a0announcement\u00a0were\u00a0pure boilerplate, e.g.: \u201cGreat nations such as ours do not hide from our shortcomings; they acknowledge them openly and strive to improve with transparency.\u201d<\/p>\n

But the UN human-rights bureaucracy is all about politics, not truth. Most of the functionaries are left-leaning hacks, while the higher ranks respond mainly to orders from back home \u2014 from nations that mostly aren\u2019t democracies and hold natural rights in utter contempt. Iran, China, Russia \u2014 countries that would never allow, much less invite, such an investigation will hold up the report as evidence of the Evils of America (while their despotic leaders chuckle to themselves about our self-destruction).<\/p>\n

So the UN special rapp<\/a>orteurs on racism and minority issues that Blinken specifically invited to come take a look (along with \u201call UN experts who report and advise on thematic human rights issues\u201d) are guaranteed to accentuate the negative, basically endorsing all the claims of American radicals and then some.\u00a0UN human rights chief Michelle Bachelet has already endorsed reparations, a hot-button issue for the US left.<\/p>\n

Sadly, Team Biden is routinely siding with racial radicals across the board, embracing pernicious \u201ccritical race theory\u201d (and the tenet that all whites are irredeemably racist) in policy and in training across the government, including in the military.<\/p>\n

Blinken and other Bidenites think they\u2019re winning easy points with their party\u2019s noisome left (or, worse, buy this bunk themselves), but it\u2019s a huge loser with the great American center. And it\u2019s beyond appalling that the head of the State Department actually invited UN apparatchiks to come in and support America\u2019s own far-left culture-warriors.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
