A fully healthy group of position players lasted all of 4 \u00b9\/\u2082 innings for the Mets.<\/p>\n

After getting J.D. Davis back Friday following his lengthy stint on the injured list with a sprained left hand, the Mets lost Francisco Lindor to injury in the fifth inning of an ugly 4-1 loss in Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n

The high-priced shortstop and four-time All-Star grimaced and grabbed at his right side after hitting a ground ball to second base. He lightly took a few steps toward first base after initially remaining in the batter\u2019s box. Accompanied by a trainer, he immedia<\/a>tely left, after returning to the dugout, and headed towards the clubhouse.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe just told me that he had some soreness on his right side,\u201d manager Luis Rojas said over Zoom. \u201cHe said, \u2018I can\u2019t go.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

Rojas said Lindor will undergo tests on Saturday morning and admitted he was \u201canxious\u201d to hear more about his star shortstop. Rojas hadn\u2019t seen Lindor after the game<\/a>, so he was unsure of the severity of the injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy level of concern is obviously high, just from not knowing,\u201d Rojas said. \u201cLet\u2019s wait and find out more about it [on Saturday].\u201d<\/p>\n
