\n Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross was reportedly hospitalized in upstate New York Friday night for minor, non-coronavirus-related health issues.<\/p>\n

Ross, 82, was not feeling well and decided to admit himself to a hospital, sources told Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A Commerce Department spokesperson on Saturday confirmed the hospitalization to the station but did not elaborate on his illness.<\/p>\n

\u201cSecretary Ross has been admitted into the hospital for minor, non-coronavirus related issues,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is doing well and we anticipate his release soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ross is currently overseeing the 2020 United States Census.<\/p>\n

He controversially app<\/a>roved a measure to add a question to the Census asking about citizenship status \u2014 a question that was eventually excluded from the survey after the Supreme Court decided it violated federal law.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
