Based on a post on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a>, we know the film is called\u00a0<strong><em>We Have a Ghost<\/em><\/strong> (unless that\u2019s just a working title). Beyond that, though, we have next to no info. Landon himself clarified that despite that title, and his background, this\u00a0<em>isn\u2019t<\/em> a horror movie. So what is it? I think I might know. We know this because Landon posted the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> himself, which you can see above. The slate lists the movie\u2019s title as\u00a0<em>We Have a Ghost<\/em>, and while you might think that makes this a horror movie, Landon has stressed it\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/creetureshow\/status\/1417155006730543114\">not<\/a>. We\u2019ll talk more about that in a moment.<\/p>\n<p>While Landon may not be a household name just yet, he\u2019s built up a great body of work, so anything new from him is worth checking out. The\u00a0<em>Happy Death Day<\/em> movies are both way better than they have any right to be, and the recent\u00a0<em>Freaky<\/em> was just wonderful across the board. This is pure guesswork on my part, but I\u00a0<em>think<\/em> it might be a project first announced back in 2017. Back then, Landon was revealed as the director of\u00a0<em>Ernest<\/em>, an adaptation of\u00a0a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/vb75wx\/ernest\">short story<\/a> by Geoff Manaugh. Described as \u201cA socially mediated ghost story,\u201d\u00a0<em>Ernest<\/em>, as Deadline explained back in 2017:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cbegins with Jimmy Kimmel asking his TV audience if it wants to see a real ghost. That would be Ernest, so named by the homeowner who discovered him because the apparition looks a bit like Ernest Borgnine. The homeowner, Frank, begins filming his housebound ghost, and sending out the results to the world through social media. The spirit is mostly harmless, confused by his exploitation, but Ernest becomes a global viral sensation\u2026He conscripts his high school senior Kevin to be part of a series of dinner parties held in the house to cash in on the ghost. This takes a sketchy turn when the teen, and the ghost, turn up missing, endangering Frank\u2019s plans to monetize.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post_2 -->Again: this is all a guess, so I have no idea if\u00a0<em>We Have a Ghost<\/em> really is the\u00a0<em>Ernest<\/em> adaptation Landon was attached to.
