Hankerson believes it would have been \u201cmore honorable\u201d to officially sample Aaliyah but he won\u2019t be pursuing any legal action.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Normani - Wild Side (Official Video) ft. God bless. Drum patterns in \u201cWild Side\u201d possibly interpolate Aaliyah\u2019s 1996 hit which is produced by Timbaland.<\/p>\n<p>The Verzuz co-founder didn\u2019t seem to have any issues with the homage either as he posted a clip to social media of himself jamming out to the record.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNormani, I groove with this one.
