\n The stars simply aligned for Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski\u2019s Tampa Bay reunion, according to the former Patriots tight end.<\/p>\n

Gronkowski, who came out of retirement in April and was traded to the Buccaneers, recently said on \u201cTiki and Tierney\u201d that he and Brady never orchestrated a master plan to play together in Florida.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, no that actually was really never the case,\u201d Gronkowski said. \u201cAs a player, you always want to see what it\u2019s like somewhere else. [I] thought of that before definitely after playing nine years in the NFL and also thought about it when I came out of retirement. This is an opportunity to go see what it\u2019s like somewhere else, to go see what it\u2019s like in the NFL on another squad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gronkowski said that while he \u201cloved [his] time in New England,\u201d a different opportunity presented itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was another opportunity that presented. But no, we never really ever talked about that before. It kind of just happ<\/a>ened. [With] my retirement and him hitting free agency, it kind of just lined up like that,\u201d the five-time Pro Bowler said.<\/p>\n

In March, Brady announced he was joining the Buccaneers after 20 seasons in New England.\u00a0Gronkowski landed in Tampa Bay a month later following nine seasons with the Patriots.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Gronkowski revealed the seeds for an NFL comeback had been planting during a game<\/a> of catch with Brady.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe rarely talked about what his decision was going to be or where I\u2019m at. But we did talk about \u2026 I\u2019m kind of getting that fire underneath me again. I told him I\u2019m definitely interested in the decision you make and \u2026 even if you go back to the Patriots \u2026 there\u2019s a possible chance I will definitely love to reconnect,\u201d Gronkowski said.<\/p>\n

Gronkowski has been physically preparing for his second NFL act, with Brady calling out \u201c#skinnygronk\u201d last month.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
