“#22-Year-Old Surfer Dead After Falling From 6-Foot Wave In Mexico

\u00d3scar Serra<\/strong>, a popular Spanish surfer, passed away on Saturday after falling from a 6-foot wave and hitting his head on the ocean floor in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, as reported by Men\u2019s Health <\/em>and local outlets.\u00a0The young athlete was just 22 years old.<\/p>\n

According to Euro News<\/a> Weekly<\/em>, the surfer was pulled from the water by lifeguards, but his injuries were fatal. CPR and other resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful.\u00a0The Spanish Surfing Federation<\/strong> confirmed the devastating news on Twitter<\/a><\/strong>, sharing a heartfelt statement that acknowledged the \u201cvery hard blow\u201d the whole community had suffered, adding:<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are no words to describe so much pain. Life is often unfair.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u00d3scar\u2019s partner, Ainara Aymat<\/strong>, added her own touching Instagram<\/strong> post to \u201csay goodbye.\u201d Discussing a recent \u201cpaddle out\u201d memorial service held in the deceased\u2019s honor, she shared:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am left with an image of an incredible sunset, in a very special place for him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Along with an emotional thanks to followers and family, Ainara concluded:<\/p>\n

\u201cI know he loved you with all his soul.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
