“#Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway Isn’t Your Typical Gundam Show<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

I wouldn\u2019t recommend Hathaway <\/em>as a newcomer\u2019s first Universal Century Gundam show, but I do think that Gundam first-timers won\u2019t struggle with following its main plot beats, aside from a not very well-explained space-set retrieval sequence near the end.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, to better understand the setting and the events that directly connect to Hathaway<\/em>, there\u2019s no escaping the past. The good thing is that, instead of spending hours on the old shows, you can simply head over to the Gundam Wiki<\/a> and read up on Char\u2019s Counterattack<\/em>, Beltorchika\u2019s Children<\/em>, the Earth Federation, Anaheim, NewTypes, the Universal Century setting, and the famous rivals Amuro Ray and Char Aznable. Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam<\/em> and Unicorn<\/em>\u2019s pages, along with the Dublin incident in Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ<\/em>, can be looked at too, to get a better sense of why the Federation isn\u2019t a \u201cgood guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
