It doesn\u2019t seem like Dwayne Johnson will be returning to the \u201cFast & Furious\u201d franchise anytime soon.<\/p>\n

After his former co-star, Vin Diesel, addressed their apparently palpable tension last month<\/a>, Johnson, 49, said he thought Diesel\u2019s comments \u2014 in which he spoke about having to give his co-stars \u201ca lot of tough love<\/a>\u201d \u2014 were laughable.<\/p>\n

\u201cI laughed and I laughed hard,\u201d he said in an interview<\/a> with the Hollywood Reporter, which posted Wednesday. \u201cI think everyone had a laugh at that. And I\u2019ll leave it at that. And that I\u2019ve wished them well. I wish them well on \u2018Fast 9.\u2019 And I wish them the best of luck on \u2018Fast 10\u2019 and \u2018Fast 11\u2019 and the rest of the \u2018Fast & Furious\u2019 movies<\/a> they do that will be without me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two have been in a feud since wrapp<\/a>ing up production of \u201cThe Fate of the Furious\u201d in 2016. While filming, Johnson made scathing comments about several unnamed male co-stars, calling them \u201ccandy asses.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSome conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don\u2019t,\u201d he wrote in an Instagram post.\u00a0\u201cThe ones that don\u2019t are too chicken s\u2013t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I\u2019m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling \u2014 you\u2019re right.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was rumored that the actor was referring to Diesel for constantly being late to set, criticizing his co-stars\u2019 acting skills and being difficult to work with. <\/p>\n

Diesel, 54, later told Men\u2019s Health that this harsh criticism was purposeful.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would do anything I\u2019d have to do in order to get performances in anything I\u2019m producing,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character. My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson appeared as agent Luke Hobbs in four of the films, as well as the spinoff movie \u201cFast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.\u201d He did not return for the franchise\u2019s most recent installment, \u201cF9,\u201d which also stars Jordana Brewster.<\/p>\n

Two more films are reportedly<\/a> set to follow \u201cF9,\u201d with director Justin Lin to return for both.<\/p>\n
