\n Hey, feds: Leave our kids alone!<\/p>\n

Dozens of moms formed a human shield between anti-racism protesters and law enforcement officials outside a federal courthouse in downtown Portland on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cMoms are here, feds stay clear,\u201d chanted the group of about 100 women, according to footage posted on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Many of the women wore yellow and donned bike helmets as they linked arms. They carried signs that read \u201cAngry mama bear BLM\u201d and \u201cMoms are pissed.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was at least the second night in a row that the group showed up to the ongoing demonstrations against police brutality and racism.<\/p>\n

On Saturday night, about 30 moms gathered outside the same courthouse to form a barrier between local and federal law enforcement officials and protesters.<\/p>\n

They stood for a few hours before feds used tear gas and flash bangs to disperse the crowd, according to reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are about protecting peaceful citizens\u2019 right to protest,\u201d Bev Barnum, the organizer of \u201cWall Of Moms,\u201d told BuzzFeed News<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old content marketer and mom of two said she\u2019d hoped the group\u2019s non-threatening app<\/a>earance would allow them to provide protection to the protesters \u2014 but they were later tear gassed by federal officers anyway.<\/p>\n

Still, she said she plans on continuing to organize for moms to attend the protests, which have been raging in the city for more than 50 days.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll be out until no protester needs protecting,\u201d Barnum told the website.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
