Over time, \u201cthe impact of each round of lockdowns has been smaller, but it remains an ongoing reminder to traders that the road to recovery remains bumpy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>West Texas Inter<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>te crude for September delivery<br \/>\n        CL00,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/209723049\/delayed\" class=\"positive\">+2.16%<\/bg-quote><\/p>\n<p>        CLU21,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/209726639\/delayed\" class=\"positive\">+2.16%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       climbed $1.61, or 2.3%, to settle at $71.91 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, following a climb of 4.6% on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>For the week, prices moved higher. The August contract, which was the front month at the end of last week, had finished Friday at $71.81.<\/p>\n<p>September Brent crude<br \/>\n        BRN00,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/209704782\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-0.14%<\/bg-quote><\/p>\n<p>        BRNU21,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/209705595\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-0.14%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       the global benchmark, rose $1.56, or 2.2%, at $73.79 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, WTI had plunged by more than 7%, while Brent lost more than 6% but on Thursday, front-month contract prices for both settled at their highest since July 14, according to Dow Jones Market Data.<\/p>\n<div id=\"cx-membership-tile\"><\/div>\n<p>Oil enjoyed another day in the green \u201cwith WTI firmly back above $70 and the mid-July malaise seemingly behind us,\u201d said Craig Erlam, senior market analyst at Oanda, in a note. \u201cTo climb back above $70 so rapidly after Monday\u2019s selloff was impressive and says a lot about how traders view the dips, something that can be applied more broadly to risk assets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Oil rose Wednesday, with an unexpected rise in U.S. crude inventories reported by the Energy Information Administration offset by a fall in supplies at Cushing, Oklahoma, the delivery hub for Nymex oil futures. <\/p>\n<p>Despite the weekly rise of 2.1 million barrels in U.S. crude supplies, the EIA said inventories at 439.7 million barrels are about 7% below the five-year average for this time of year. <\/p>\n<p>On Nymex Thursday, August gasoline<br \/>\n        RBQ21,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210287971\/delayed\" class=\"positive\">+2.33%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       tacked on nearly 2.6% to $2.27 a gallon and August heating oil<br \/>\n        HOQ21,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210064444\/delayed\" class=\"positive\">+2.15%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       inched up by 2.2% to $2.13 a gallon.<\/p>\n<p>Natural-gas futures finished higher Thursday, holding at the highest since December 2018, after the EIA said supplies of the commodity rose by 49 billion cubic feet for the week ended July 16.
