“#Critics slam Jamie Lynn for calling Britney’s Florida pad ‘our condo’<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

The words \u201cwe\u201d and \u201cour\u201d have become a point of contention in the #FreeBritney community.<\/p>\n

In 2015, Jamie Lynn Spears tweeted<\/a> that \u201cWe have a condo [in] Destin, Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI host everyone at our condo,\u201d she said in a 2016 interview with Country Music Television news<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now critics are calling out the 30-year-old mother of two for seemingly claiming part-ownership of a million-dollar condominium legally owned by 39-year-old Britney Spears, who is embroiled in a battle to end her conservatorship<\/a>, which began in 2008<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The condominium in a dual-towered complex was purchased for $920,000 in 2001 under an LLC, when the \u201cOops!\u2026 I Did It Again\u201d singer was 20 years old. The Bridgemore Timber LLC and its assets, including a \u201ccondominium located in Florida,\u201d are owned by \u201cthe Conservatee\u201d Britney Spears, according to May 2009 conservatorship filings.<\/p>\n

Outraged social media<\/a> users referenced the \u201cZoey 101\u201d alum\u2019s 2019 claim that she had never been paid by the \u201cToxic\u201d singer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have NEVER been paid a dime from my sister, that is HER\u00a0hard earned\u00a0money, and\u00a0I am NOT entitled to a cent of it,\u201d Jamie Lynn wrote in an Instagram comment in May 2019. <\/p>\n

There have been no known occasions when Jamie Lynn explicitly claimed the three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom condominium belonged to her, but Jamie Lynn referred to the pad as a collectively owned home on at least two occasions. <\/p>\n

When talking about hosting \u201ceveryone at our condo\u201d in the 2016 Country Music Television news<\/a> interview, she referred to a group that was \u201cblessed\u201d with the expansive home. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re pretty blessed with a big condo,\u201d she said. \u201cIt can sleep about 10 people. We all have breakfast together, I plan a big dinner, and we have a space at the beach. And when we write, there\u2019s no pressure and no timeline, so the songs just kind of fall out. It\u2019s hard to call that work.\u201d<\/p>\n

The previous year, she called the Destin, Florida area where the condo is located \u201cthe best getaway\u201d during a Twitter AMA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 3,650-square-foot condo built in 1983 is not believed to be her primary residence, though she has visited the $1.01 million-assessed condominium on several documented occasions. <\/p>\n

The Bridgemore Timber holding company\u2019s agent and manager is registered to James Spears, better known as Jamie Spears. It is unclear who has been paying the $12,637.02 tax bill, of which The Post obtained a receipt.<\/p>\n

Britney\u2019s younger sister had mostly stayed away from controversy surrounding the conservatorship until last week when Britney called her out on Instagram<\/a>, saying she \u201cshowed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!!\u201d The event she was seemingly referring to was Jamie Lynn\u2019s performance of \u201cTill the World Ends\u201d at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards.<\/p>\n

The post sparked a back-and-forth between the sisters in which the Netflix \u201cSweet Magnolias\u201d star<\/a> Jamie Lynn called for peace<\/a>, and her older sister seemed to mock her in response<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Britney was briefly married to childhood friend Jason Alexander<\/a> and later dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two children. She is currently dating Sam Asghari<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Representatives for Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears did not respond to The Post\u2019s request for comment. <\/p>\n
