As someone who plays League of Legends on occasion, I thought that this game wouldn\u2019t be as fun or compelling to keep me around but I was wrong. data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/noscript><\/noscript><\/figure>\n<p>The overall premise of Pokemon Unite is straightforward. You\u2019ll play as one of the available Pokemon and collect points by defeating wild Pok\u00e9mon scattered throughout the area, or by beating members of the opposing team. Once you collect points, you then go to designated zones in the opposing team\u2019s side of the course to add points to your team\u2019s overall score. You score by collecting up the points into a glowing ball of energy and then slam-dunking into a basketball hoop-like goal. It\u2019s unorthodox for a MOBA game but it works. The game is available on mobile and on the Switch but I wasn\u2019t able to test the mobile version to see how it ran but if you ask me, the best way to play the game is on the Switch for the controls.<\/p>\n<p>As I\u2019ve said before, Pokemon Unite is a lite experience of the MOBA genre however you can get quite deep into it and build a custom character with items and a skin. They call the HOLO. Speaking of skins, as you can imagine, there\u2019s microtransaction in the game, however, most of what you\u2019ll need to play the game can be earned by simply playing the game and grinding. How much grinding depends on what you want. The grind experience for me seems a bit on the slow side but that\u2019s my own opinion on it.<\/p>\n<p>Each standard base Pokemon doesn\u2019t impact play all that much aside for Zeraora, that beast is broken as hell, and I had no problem winning matches with the included Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, there\u2019s not much else to say, other than giving it a shot.
