(It also changed titles twice.)\u00a0 The date was pushed forward several months, and now\u00a0<em>The Prot\u00e9g\u00e9<\/em>\u00a0will release exclusively in theaters on\u00a0<strong><span class=\"style-scope yt-formatted-string\" dir=\"auto\">August 20, 2021<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_The_Protege\"><\/span>What is <em>The Prot\u00e9g\u00e9<\/em>?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>The\u00a0Prot\u00e9g\u00e9\u00a0<\/em>is an action-adventure film in the vein of\u00a0<em>John Wick<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>or\u00a0<em>La Femme Nikita.\u00a0<\/em>Campbell wanted to do as much of the action in-camera as possible. He credited Q\u2019s amazing action skills in an <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/movies\/22542989\/the-protege-poster-maggie-q-martin-campbell-preview\">interview with Polygon<\/a>, where he noted that she was trained in the art of action cinema by the legendary\u00a0<strong>Jackie Chan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The official synopsis reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Rescued as a child by the legendary assassin Moody (<strong>Samuel L.
