With a simple click, you can create a Docs, Sheets, or Slides document and work on it together right in a Google Chat room.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Create_a_Document_in_Google_Chat\"><\/span>Create a Document in Google Chat<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can use either the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mail.google.com\/chat\/\">Google Chat website<\/a> or Google Chat in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mail.google.com\/mail\/\">Gmail<\/a> to create your document. Head to one of these websites and visit the Chat room where you want to collaborate.<\/p>\n<p>To the right of the message box, click the Create New Document icon. You can click the document to open it in the chat just like before. Visit the room and tap the document.
