Why is this <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> so damm controversial?<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-26744\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Big note here, I am not a He-Man fan. I may have watched the series as a kid because there was nothing on at the time, but I am not a He-man. That being said, I have listened to both sides of the aisle and their opinion of Kevin Smith\u2019s Masters of the Universe: Revelation and it\u2019s hard to figure out what holds truth.<\/p>\n<p>On one side, you have fans who enjoyed Kevin Smith\u2019s Masters of the Universe: Revelation. They acknowledged the \u201cbait &amp; switch\u201d that took place, replacing He-man with some other character, and didn\u2019t care. I\u2019ve even seen some fans point that the original He-man series had a similar trope of He-man being distracted while the story focused on the other character. <\/p>\n<p>Then there\u2019s the other side, the more vocal and active side that absolutely hates Kevin Smith\u2019s Masters of the Universe: Revelation, saying that Kevin Smith doesn\u2019t care about this series and is just doing it to either spite the fans or to make a quick buck. One of the biggest issues fans have with this series boils down to a number of things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A important main\/side characters killed off for no reason<\/li>\n<li>Fans weren\u2019t h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y with the bait and switch<\/li>\n<li>Kevin Smith lied apperantluy<\/li>\n<li>He-Man is emasculated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img Many <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a>rs spent their time dissecting the series, some giving it a fair shake, while others\u2026well they did what you\u2019d expect them to do, tell you how shit the Kevin Smith\u2019s Masters of the Universe: Revelation had been handled. Even on reviews like IGN, the dislike ratio to like ratio is insane. People just weren\u2019t happy at all, yet the critic praised this series. On Rotten Tomatoes, it\u2019s sitting on a 97% critic while the audience is sitting at a whopping 26% last time I checked.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s odd too because the animation from what I peeped looked really good! So what\u2019s going on. Honestly, if I were to take a guess, I\u2019d say it\u2019s a good all classic fan disservice. Fan\u2019s wanted He-man to kick ass, but instead, they got Teela.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Smith says this about Teela and why she took most of the <span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">focus<\/span>:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTeela, who was there in every episode, side-by-side with He-Man, and also there to protect [Prince Adam] was the one person left out of the secret,\u201d Smith said during the panel. \u201cBased on that, Teela was basically the center of the story that we were going to tell. It\u2019s a He-Man story, it\u2019s a\u00a0<em>Masters Of The Universe<\/em>\u00a0story, but it\u2019s watching Teela\u2019s journey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So in short, had Masters Of The Universe: Revelation marketing just been honest from the start and made it clear that Teela was going to be the new lead, maybe fans would\u2019ve warmed up to the idea. Maybe! But I can understand fans been led to believe Prince Adam was going to be the lead, only to have him \u201ckilled\u201d in the first episode. Now, people who may not like this new direction are being labeled as \u201cmisogynic\u201d! You know the usual! Not saying that some of these comments are sexist in nature, however, we can\u2019t assume ALL of them are! <\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll have to wait and see how this whole thing ends, but I would probably accept the fact that Teela will become the new She-man\u2026She-ra? I dunno but she\u2019s the new face I guess!
