\nA father of two is dead after a fight escalated to talk of divorce \u2014 and then crossed over to physical violence.<\/p>\n

Chanelle Lewis<\/strong>\u00a0is facing charges of second-degree murder after running over her husband, Christopher Lewis<\/strong>, after a fight that his adult son claims began over\u2026 food?<\/p>\n

The couple were camping with his children from a previous relationship at the Soggy Bottoms ATV Trails campground in Wanette, Oklahoma last week when they got into a horrible row \u2014 the last they\u2019d ever have.<\/p>\n

Pottawatomie County Undersheriff J.T. Palmer<\/strong> told local news<\/a> outlet\u00a0KFOR<\/em> it was Christopher\u2019s use of the \u201cD\u201d word that sent his wife into a rage:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had told her he wanted a divorce, and she made a statement that she was going to run over him and kill him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to the undersheriff, the 35-year-old stepmom jumped into the a close-by ATV \u2014 it\u2019s unclear if it was Christopher\u2019s own \u2014 and made good on the threat, running him over and killing him. Palmer told reporters his team have seen ATV incidents but not like this:<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst one that we\u2019ve ever had where somebody intentionally ran somebody over.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He added:<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was some alcohol involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That part we kind of worked out.<\/p>\n

You may have noticed in Lewis\u2019 mugshot (above, inset) that she has a pretty rough-looking black eye. That\u2019s app<\/a>arently from Christopher\u2019s son,\u00a0Christian Cornett<\/strong>. The 20-year-old told\u00a0KFOR<\/em> his stepmother came after him and his teen sister after running over their father. As she was was trying to run them over next, he says, he was able to get to her through the window and punch her in the face.<\/p>\n

Apparently his sister then went for help because in the original 911 call, someone from the campground can be heard telling authorities:<\/p>\n

\u201cThat little girl was screaming saying her dad was dead! Somebody ran her dad over and said he was dead out on one of our trails.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Chanelle was arrested and originally booked on manslaughter charges. However, investigators found more evidence that led them to upgrade the charges to second-degree murder.<\/p>\n

Cornett said he can\u2019t understand how his father can be gone:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a great man and would help anyone in need. I have 1,000 brothers because he was a father figure to everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

How awful that what was supposed to be a fun family vacation turned into such a brutal crime\u2026<\/p>\n
