You can check <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/appsstatus#hl=en&amp;v=status\">Google\u2019s workspace status<\/a> and see if Gmail is currently down or was down recently. If Google\u2019s servers were temporarily down, then perhaps your email wasn\u2019t handled properly. In that case, we recommend asking your sender to resend the email back to you.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Send_Yourself_a_Test_Email\"><\/span>Send Yourself a Test Email<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Another simple troubleshooting test you can do is by sending yourself an email. Try sending yourself two emails, one with a Gmail account and another one from another email service like Yahoo or Outlook. Update your Gmail app through the App Store or Google\u2019s Play Store. Unlike on your phone where your app may be outdated, your PC\u2019s browsers are always up to date. This makes it more reliable, especially for problems like this where a network or connectivity bug could be your problem.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Log_Out_and_Back_Into_Your_Account\"><\/span>Log Out and Back Into Your Account<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/727595\/how-to-sign-out-of-gmail-2\/\">Logging out of your Gmail account and back into it can help troubleshoot the problem by forcefully syncing your Gmail to Google\u2019s servers. Unfortunately, it\u2019s possible the email you\u2019re expecting to receive has been filtered as well.<\/p>\n<p>The Gmail mobile app\u2019s settings are limited, so you\u2019re better off using your computer for this. If you don\u2019t have a PC, you can open Gmail on the browser app of your phone. This makes it so that emails sent to your email are forwarded to your new email. This filters out emails that your antivirus thinks are a potential virus or has malicious intentions.
