Stop it, Dad! LeVar Burton made his long-awaited \u201cJeopardy\u201d guest-hosting gig debut on Monday evening but his daughter, Mica, is roasting the new host.<\/p>\n

Mica tweeted a video during the episode\u2019s airing that showed her dad on the TV screen and his current seat in their living room. \u201cBless [my dad] for putting up with me,\u201d she wrote alongside the hilarious clip<\/a>. The video showed Mica pretending to be confused as to how the \u201cRoots\u201d star, 64, could be in two places at once. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s there, but he\u2019s there. But he\u2019s on TV. But he\u2019s there,\u201d Mica said, roasting her pops as he tried to watch himself on screen. Burton playfully told her to stop her trolling.<\/p>\n

Mica also posted the clip on\u00a0TikTok<\/a>, writing, \u201cMessing with my dad while he\u2019s on TV. The \u2018will you stop?!\u2019 is so dad of him.\u201d<\/p>\n

News<\/a> that Burton would be coming in to host the popular game<\/a> show following legendary host Alex Trebek\u2019s tragic death<\/a> surfaced in April. The former \u201cReading Rainbow\u201d host launched a full-on internet campaign to be part of the lineup of guest hosts before the show finally granted him the opportunity along with other stars like George Stephanopoulos.<\/p>\n

Despite Burton\u2019s dream to come on \u201cJeopardy,\u201d he told the Associated Press<\/a> before his episode aired that he felt some pressure to do a good job.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was a real challenge,\u201d he said. \u201cThe pressure, the natural tendency was to want to live up to Alex\u2019s example, his legacy.\u00a0I came backstage after taping the first episode and I said to [my wife] Stephanie, \u2018Well, how did I do?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe said, \u2018Ehhh,\u2019\u201d Burton recalled of his wife\u2019s reaction after the show\u2019s taping. He added that the hosting experience was \u201creally, really, really scary.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cStar Trek: The Next Generation\u201d actor\u2019s debut was a record-breaking show on Monday, despite it featuring the lowest contestant score ever<\/a>. Patrick Pearce, a product specialist from Fountain Valley, Calif., scored -$7,400.<\/p>\n

Pearce ended the first round of the game with $200; however, he got stumped in the next one. This move disqualified him to compete in the \u201cFinal Jeopardy\u201d round. Fellow contestant Matt Amodio from New Haven, Conn., jumped on Pearce\u2019s bad performance and reportedly extended his four-day winning streak to $122,400.<\/p>\n

A permanent replacement for Trebek, who lost a battle with pancreatic cancer<\/a> at age 80, has not yet been announced.\n <\/div>\n
