Created by famed cartoonist<strong> Gilbert Shelton<\/strong> in 1968, the comics followed the drug-addled adventures of Freewheelin\u2019 Franklin, Phineas, and Fat Freddy around the world. Now, they\u2019re being rounded up for a new four-volume collection of their entire run.<\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s not all, because there\u2019s a <em>Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers<\/em> animated series on the way with quite an impressive voice cast. Here\u2019s the official synopsis of their first adventure:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Brothers \u2014 Freewheelin\u2019 Franklin, Phineas, and Fat Freddy \u2014 embark on a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> to Colombia to score some cheap dope (their guiding principle) but, as always, things go awry, and they are separated and scattered around the world \u2014 to Scotland, Moscow, Africa, South America, and the Middle East \u2014 where they encounter nuclear terrorists, slavers, pirates, and religious fanatics, yet somehow never seem to make it to Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That sounds like quite the madcap adventure, something that was way ahead of its time in 1968. This classic underground comic has been named one of the 100 Greatest Comics of the Century by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tcj.com\/\">The Comics Journal<\/a>, and the artwork has been compared to that of Herg\u00e9, the artist behind <em>The Adventures of Tintin<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the first of four volumes, and you\u2019ll be able to find it in stores starting in <strong>January 2022<\/strong>. Harrelson voices laid-back Freewheelin\u2019 Franklin Freek, Goodman plays man-child Fat Freddy Freekowtski, and Pete Davidson is paranoid Phineas T. Phreakerss. Meanwhile, Tiffany Haddish is voicing Fat Freddy\u2019s Cat, who had adventures tangential to the brothers in the comics.<\/p>\n<p>Other cast members include <em>Workaholics<\/em> co-creators and co-stars <strong>Adam Devine<\/strong> and <strong>Blake Anderson<\/strong>, who play Chuck and Charlie, a couple of weed savants always looking for the next side-hustle with hearts of gold hidden beneath their unwashed exteriors. <strong>Andrea Savage<\/strong> is also on board as Harper, a no-nonsense tech badass who undoubtedly wears the pants in her household. As you can see in the artwork above, there are plenty of other characters involved, so we can probably expect a lot of guest voices.<\/p>\n<p>Back in 2019, <strong>Daniel &amp; Jeremy Lehrer<\/strong> (<em>Highly Gifted<\/em>) were slated as writers and producers with\u00a0<strong>Mark Canton<\/strong> and <strong>Courtney Solomon<\/strong> are executive producing and <em>King of the Hill <\/em>alums <strong>Alan Cohen<\/strong> and <strong>Alan Freedland<\/strong> set as showrunners.\u00a0Harrelson, Haddish, Davidson, Devine, Anderson, Shelton and <strong>Manfred Mroczkowski<\/strong> are all serving as executive producers, and <strong>Jeffrey S.
