\nThings are getting heated between Scarlett Johansson<\/strong> and Disney<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

On Friday, the star\u2019s agent Bryan Lourd<\/strong> fired back at the company for \u201cshamelessly and falsely\u201d accusing his client of being \u201cinsensitive\u201d to the global pandemic and for publishing her huge paycheck to the press \u201cin an attempt to weaponize her success.\u201d As you may recall, the entertainment conglomerate issued an brutal statement after Johansson made headlines claiming that her contract was breached when Black Widow<\/em> was released on Disney+<\/strong> at the same time it was out in theaters. The corporation said the suit had \u201cno merit,\u201d responding:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe lawsuit is especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Disney also disclosed her $20 million salary for the action film, while also claiming the streaming service release \u201csignificantly enhanced her ability to earn additional compensation.\u201d However, they never addressed whether or not they had renegotiated Johansson\u2019s contract to include streaming. So who knows what really went down between the two powerhouses!<\/p>\n

Now, Lourd (who also happ<\/a>ens to be Billie Lourd<\/strong>\u2018s poppa) has slammed the business for its harsh response in a statement obtained by Deadline<\/em>, detailing:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have shamelessly and falsely accused Ms. Johansson of being insensitive to the global COVID pandemic, in an attempt to make her appear to be someone they and I know she isn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The elite agent also mentioned how Scarlett has been a great asset to Disney on nine movies<\/a> so far, earning the company and shareholders \u201cbillions\u201d at the end of the day. He continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe company included her salary in their press statement in an attempt to weaponize her success as an artist and businesswoman, as if that were something she should be ashamed of. Scarlett is extremely proud of the work that she, and all of the actors, writers, directors, producers, and the Marvel<\/strong> creative team have been a part of for well over a decade.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As she should be! Lourd then claimed that the Mouse House purposefully disregarded ScarJo and others when they made their decision to move to Disney+, as a way to combat the limitations of the pandemic:<\/p>\n

\u201cThis suit was filed as a result of Disney\u2019s decision to knowingly violate Scarlett\u2019s contract. They have very deliberately moved the revenue stream and profits to the Disney+ side of the company leaving artistic and financial partners out of their new equation. That\u2019s it, pure and simple.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The CAA<\/strong> co-chairman then got his final dig in by adding:<\/p>\n

\u201cDisney\u2019s direct attack on her character and all else they implied is beneath the company that many of us in the creative community have worked with successfully for decades.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ouch!!!<\/p>\n
