Ultimately, there are a few different reasons for that. Season 1, after all, originally aired first and foremost on DC Universe \u2014 we really get the sense that producers were trying to establish it as its own thing.<\/p>\n<p>Now, meanwhile, the door is open to more possibilities, but even still we get the feeling that they don\u2019t want to overwhelm Blue Valley with a bunch of other characters just yet. What they are doing instead is bringing John Wesley Shipp on board as an Earth-2 version of Jay Garrick, one who is a part of the Justice Society of America. This is a way to better establish Jay as a part of this world, but also to open the door for other great stuff down the road \u2014 maybe via a potential season 3! (Remember, <em>Stargirl <\/em>has not been renewed as of yet.)<\/p>\n<p>Speaking (via <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/tvline.com\/2021\/07\/30\/stargirl-season-2-jay-garrick-the-flash-visit-arrowverse-crossovers\/\">TVLine<\/a>), here is some of what executive producer Geoff Johns had to say about the possibilities to come:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201c[The Jay <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>earance] opens up the door to opportunities for us to eventually interact with those [Arrowverse] characters, and that was important \u2026 And when we eventually <em>do<\/em> do [another crossover], we\u2019ll do it in a hopefully special, <em>Stargirl<\/em>\u00a0way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The one question we have is just who could appear down the road, given that there are so many Arrowverse shows going by the wayside these days.\u00a0<em>Arrow \/ Black Lightning\u00a0<\/em>are already done, and we\u2019re about to see\u00a0<em>Supergirl\u00a0<\/em>shut down at the end of season 6.\u00a0<em>The Flash\u00a0<\/em>is technically still on, but we\u2019re not sure how much it has left in the tank!
