{"id":312771,"date":"2021-07-31T01:48:11","date_gmt":"2021-07-30T22:48:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/yellowstone-tourist-charged-for-getting-illegally-close-to-grizzly-bear\/"},"modified":"2021-07-31T01:48:11","modified_gmt":"2021-07-30T22:48:11","slug":"yellowstone-tourist-charged-for-getting-illegally-close-to-grizzly-bear","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/yellowstone-tourist-charged-for-getting-illegally-close-to-grizzly-bear\/","title":{"rendered":"#Yellowstone tourist charged for getting illegally close to grizzly bear"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Yellowstone tourist charged for getting illegally close to grizzly bear<\/strong>&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/07\/yellowstone-grizzly-cell-phone-02.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Authorities come bearing bad <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> for this foolish tourist.<\/p>\n<p>After footage of a woman getting illegally close to a bear in Yellowstone National Park went viral in May, National Park rangers have been trying to identify the dolt \u2014 and now they have.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Through <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a>, investigators have determined that Illinois woman Samantha Dehring is the person who tried to get a better shot of a massive grizzly and her cubs in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/COt4i13FprY\/\">the clip<\/a>, which has been viewed over 93,000 times.<\/p>\n<p>Dehring now faces one count of violating a federal law prohibiting \u201cfeeding, touching, teasing, frightening or intentional disturbing of wildlife nesting, breeding or other activities\u201d and one count of \u201cviolating closures and use limits,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/equilibrium-sustainability\/565493-woman-charged-after-approached-grizzly-bear-in-yellowstone-with-her\">the Hill<\/a> reported based on court documents.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dehring now has a 9 a.m. court date on Aug. 26.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The woman did not make it difficult for law enforcement to find her: She reportedly posted numerous photos of the bears to her Facebook account, captioning one image of the creatures \u201cabsolutely floored by the beauty of this place,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/billingsgazette.com\/news\/state-and-regional\/woman-filmed-too-close-to-grizzly-and-cubs-in-yellowstone-cited\/article_a304c7c6-7a88-5773-9a2e-d2c281b87ad8.html#tracking-source=home-top-story\">the Billings Gazette<\/a> reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWE TOOK THE VIDEO FROM INSIDE OUR VEHICLE, AND DON\u2019T KNOW THE WOMAN IN THE VIDEO! Absolutely INSANE that @shaylee_addington and I witnessed this today,\u201d the viral video of Dehring is captioned. In it, one of the bears charges at Dehring before suddenly walking away. Dehring films the encounter and then walks away herself, hands in her pockets. In the background, a pair of people gasp and curse.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to witnesses who spoke with investigators, other park tourists in the area returned to their vehicles when they saw the bears coming and warned Dehring to as well, \u201cbut she did not,\u201d the Gazette reported.
