One person was killed and six others hurt in separate shootings across the Big App<\/a>le overnight.<\/p>\n

The deadly gunfire erupted in the Bronx around 3:15 a.m. Saturday when a 28-year-old was shot six times in the back by an unknown assailant at 3240 Third Avenue, near East 163rd Street. The victim was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital shortly after 7 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said. <\/p>\n

Investigators recovered three shell casings at the scene, police sources said. <\/p>\n

At 3:45 a.m. Saturday, one 23-year-old man was shot once in the right leg and another was shot in the abdomen by an unknown assailant at an unknown location, police said. Both victims, who were uncooperative, reported the vague incident after being dropped off at Harlem Hospital via private means, cops said.<\/p>\n

The violence began around 10:50 p.m. Friday, when a 53-year-old man was shot in the left leg during a dispute on Union Avenue in the Bronx, also near East 163rd Street, police said. The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, cops said.<\/p>\n

On Staten Island, two teenage boys were shot after a large fight broke out at a Sweet 16 party late Friday, police said.<\/p>\n

The 16-year-old victims were attending the bash on Harbor Road in Mariners Harbor when someone opened fire at around 11 p.m., according to the NYPD. One of the teens was shot in the chest, and the other was hit in the right leg, cops said.<\/p>\n

There are no arrests. But the mother of the teen whose birthday was being celebrated told mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa Saturday she searched every person who attended the party for weapons before letting them in, according to video of the chat provided by Sliwa.<\/p>\n

The woman, who was identified only as Nadine, said she searched the attendees because, \u201cI got other people\u2019s kids here, I have to watch. \u2026 I feel like I failed because I worked so hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just happened so quick, I don\u2019t know,\u201d she told Sliwa, describing how she told the partygoers, \u201d \u2018Are you here? You\u2019re hungry? Ok before you get in, you\u2019re getting searched.\u2019 \u201c\n <\/p><\/div>\n
