Streaming music services are great until you\u2019re stuck without an internet connection. That\u2019s where download<\/a>ing music for offline playback comes in.\u00a0Like Spotify, Amazon Music supports downloading music for offline listening. We\u2019ll show you how to do it.<\/p>\n

To use the offline feature, you\u2019ll need an\u00a0Amazon Music Prime,\u00a0Amazon Music Unlimited, or Amazon Music HD subscription. If you\u2019re already an Amazon Prime member, you automatically get the Music Prime subscription.<\/p>\n

Offline music is supported on iPhone<\/a>, iPad<\/a>, and Android<\/a>. The screenshots in this guide might look slightly different depending on your device, but the steps are exactly the same.<\/p>\n

First, after opening the Amazon Music app, search for something that you want to download. It can be a single song, an album, or a playlist.<\/p>\n

Next, tap the three-dot icon next to the song, album, or playlist.<\/p>\n

Select \u201cDownload\u201d from the menu.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all there is to it. Simply do this for all of the music that you\u2019d like to have for offline listening.<\/p>\n

To see all of your offline music in one place, go to the \u201cLibrary\u201d tab.<\/p>\n

On Android, tap the dropdown at the top of the page and select \u201cOffline Music\u201d from the menu.<\/p>\n

On an iPhone or iPad, tap the gear icon in the top-right corner and select \u201cOffline Mode\u201d from the menu.<\/p>\n

Now, when you look in the sections of your library (Songs, Artists, Albums), you\u2019ll only see the offline music downloaded to your phone or tablet.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s it! You can always manually switch to offline mode or wait until a time when your device is out of internet range. It\u2019s a good idea to save some music for a rainy (internet outage) day.<\/p>\n
